Mountains 2 miles/3km high. Almost no impact craters. An area shaped like a heart. A moon with a canyon system larger than the Grand Canyon. Just a few of the discoveries New Horizons has made recently about the dwarf(?) planet Pluto. Once again we have found a world much more dynamic than previously supposed. Maybe the next step would be to send probes to orbit Pluto - and Uranus and Neptune as well. If anything curiousity is one of humanity's more positive traits, so often wondering what is over the horizon, around the next bend, or beyond the most distant known planet. Eris, Makemake, Haumea, the Kuiper Belt anyone?

I would love to see more space probes sent out, until we perfect anything like the space travel technology of Star Trek (or Star Wars) they will be the best way to explore this fascinating corner of the Milky Way we call home...

I'm actually watching a program about that probe visiting Pluto. It's quite interesting how it's taken photographs that no one has seen before, and gave us a whole new idea of what that distant little planet is like, we didn't even know about it's other little moons until very recently!
